Great Meeting on Manitoulin Island

Daniel St-Jean & Leland Bell

Leland Bell is a Native artist residing on Manitoulin Island. Manitoulin Island is the biggest fresh water island in the world. It is part of the land of the Anishnabec.

Leland is very talented and has many of his painting in Canada and abroad.

This summer we visited his studio at Wikwemikong (Wiki) on Manitoulin Island.

We were delighted to meet him after many years of admiring his artwork.

You will find a very rare and precious clollection of his in West Bay, again on Manitoulin island. It is the way of the cross - all paintings by Leland Bell. Well worth the extra mile.

At www.wahsa.mb.ca/view_gallery.php?id=10 you can admire his paintings.
